Global Game Jam 2015
This past Sunday I had the pleasure of attending Global Game Jam 2015 at Oakland’s Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment, which is always a great place - definitely something you should check out if you are visiting the Bay Area or live here and haven’t been there recently.
They were kind to host this year’s Global Game Jam for the Bay Area, and the theme this year was “What do we do next?” My team had a pretty awesome sound engineer join us, so we definitely wanted to make a collaborative, multiplayer-instrument.
Unfortunately he became ill and had to leave the jam, which left the rest of us working on adding sounds, filters, and the like to the game, which we only sort of understood.
I do not think we got as far as making a “game” as I would have liked, but I am still proud of what we made, and am very grateful of my awesome team.
If you want you can check out the game here. If you do, let me know what you think!
Again, thanks to my awesome team and to the great folks at MADE.
